Chef De Partie term time plus (44 weeks) Oxford
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £14.82 per hour
Hours: 40 per week
An independent boarding and day Pre-Prep and Prep school for boys aged 4 – 13 years in Summertown, Oxford. Catering for over 400 students and staff daily, providing breakfast, lunch, supper, and some hospitality. The operation runs 7 days a week, with shift patterns typically 5 days over 7.
We are seeking a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at one of our prestigious Oxford locations.
You should have previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level.
You will be enthusiastic about working with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus. Creativity and skill showcasing are encouraged.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with a team of chefs to serve pupils and teachers
- Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, adhering to brand standards
- Maintain food standards and control wastage
- Follow Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures
Required skills:
- Genuine interest in food and excellent customer service
- Team player with a collaborative approach
- Passion and innovation in food preparation
- Organised with attention to detail
- Understanding of food costs and wastage management
Knowledge / competencies:
- Good verbal English skills
- Good written and reading English skills
