An independent primary school for children aged 4 – 11 years old, located in Shenley, Hertfordshire. Catering for 450 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of morning and afternoon snacks and lunch with a small hospitality offering. This is a term-time only contract working 38 weeks a year and operates Monday to Friday. Additional benefit to this location is free on-site parking.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team at our prestigious location in Radlett.

Your role will be crucial in maintaining the kitchen\’s hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.

• Experience with pot wash duties is advantageous.
• Great team player.
• Assist chefs with food preparation.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times.
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.
• Use instructions and cleaning materials to clean heavy catering equipment, including air filters and extraction systems.
• Operate the industrial dishwasher.

We are looking for:

• Previous kitchen porter experience is preferred but not essential.
• Good organizational skills.
• Reasonable understanding and use of verbal English.
• Good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is a plus.
