We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join a well-established international consumer brand. This is a relationship-led role focused on identifying opportunities for growth, developing existing business and supporting a network of independent business owners to achieve their commercial potential. You will work closely with individuals across your territory, helping them develop their businesses through coaching, commercial insight, training and practical support. You’ll be comfortable analysing performance, identifying opportunities and building strong, trusted relationships.

The Role

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with independent business owners across your territory
  • Identify opportunities to drive sales, recruitment, engagement and overall business growth
  • Provide coaching, guidance and commercial support to help individuals develop their businesses
  • Analyse performance and activity to identify opportunities and areas requiring additional support
  • Deliver presentations, training sessions and business meetings both virtually and face-to-face
  • Support and implement company initiatives, promotions and commercial programmes
  • Share best practice and encourage collaboration across your network
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent support and communication
  • Travel regularly within your territory, with occasional wider UK travel as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is naturally engaging, commercially minded and genuinely enjoys helping other people succeed. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within business development, field sales, account management or commercial relationship management
  • A strong track record of developing and growing commercial relationships
  • Excellent coaching, influencing and communication skills
  • The confidence to work with a wide variety of personalities and levels of business experience
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret performance data
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to manage your own territory
  • Experience within social selling, beauty, consumer goods, retail, wellness or a similar relationship-led commercial environment would be particularly advantageous
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
