CNC Machinist / CNC Miller – Large-Scale Precision Engineering
Thomas Broadbent | Precision Engineering & Manufacturing
Looking for something a little more challenging than conventional CNC machining?
We’re strengthening our machining team at Thomas Broadbent in Huddersfield and have a career opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist who enjoys working on complex engineering components and wants to get involved with some seriously impressive machinery.
Ideally, you’ll come from a subcontract machining, precision engineering or contract manufacturing environment, where you’ve developed the versatility to work across different components, materials and machining requirements.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with large-scale, multi-axis CNC machinery, with scope to develop into advanced 5‑axis machining, manufacturing complex components where precision, technical capability and quality workmanship really matter.
What We’re Looking For
- CNC machining experience, ideally involving varied or complex engineering components.
- Good knowledge of milling, tooling, speeds and feeds.
- Confidence working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
- Experience setting, operating and ideally editing CNC programmes.
- A practical, problem‑solving approach and pride in quality workmanship.
Already experienced with large-scale or 5‑axis CNC machines, or not quite there yet? We’re equally interested in developing machinists with the right foundations and ambition.
We’re an established and growing engineering business offering technically interesting work, impressive machinery and a genuine long‑term career path and personal development plan.
We’re willing to invest in the right people, provide training, technical development and opportunities to progress as your skills and experience grow.
