Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Welder, located in Slough. The Welder will be responsible for performing various welding tasks, including arc welding, TIG welding, and MIG welding, on a range of materials. Additionally, the Welder will ensure all safety protocols are followed and maintain the equipment in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Metal Fabrication: Craft high-quality metalwork products such as spindles, gates, balustrades, and railings to exact specifications.
- Welding & Assembly: Utilise MIG/TIG welding techniques to assemble, finish, and inspect various metal products.
- Design Reading: Interpret designs, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision in fabrication.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products for structural soundness, quality, and adherence to design requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain workshop tools and machinery to ensure smooth operation and safety.
- Problem-Solving: Work collaboratively with designers, engineers, and fellow fabricators to troubleshoot design or fabrication challenges.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in an industrial or workshop setting.
- Skills: Proficient in MIG/TIG welding, metal forming, cutting, and finishing techniques.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of metals, welding procedures, and fabrication tools.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
- Safety Focused: Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety procedures related to fabrication and workshop environments.
