This post is not a full-time driving role but a role for an individual with HGV driving qualifications and experience.
Over the last decade, Thomann-Hanry has grown significantly and continues to expand its portfolio of works requiring a dedicated team and resource to enable the company to deliver the best possible service to all clients. The Company undertakes works to restore some of the most important and historic buildings in London such as the ‘National Gallery’ and the ‘Bank of England’.
This role will support the team through loading, unloading, driving and operating of truck mounts, MEWPS, company lorries and vehicles whilst supporting our on-site teams with various tasks involved with cleaning and restoring of buildings. Hours of work are typically between 20:30pm – 05:30am.
Key Responsibilities:- Driving and operating truck mounts, MEWPS and company lorries and vehicles.
- Loading, unloading, and strapping down of vehicles.
- Ability to complete thorough vehicle checks for road worthiness.
- Assisting specialists in completion of their duties and on-site support including basic construction tasks.
- Disseminating health and safety information and documents ensuring all is completed compliant.
- Responding to enquiries.
- Working and communicating well within a team.
- Meeting clients and fostering relationships.
- MUST HAVE a category C driving licence / Class 2 (with C+E / Class 1 is highly desirable).
- MUST BE comfortable working at heights as our Truck mounts have a reach over 50 metres.
- MUST BE willing to work nights and potentially occasional weekends.
- IPAF – Experience operating Truck mount platforms category 1b (with 3a and 3b is desirable).
- MUST BE able to work flexibly including nights, early mornings and weekends as required.
- Desirable HIAB / Truck mount experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- IPAF 3a, 3b and 1b desirable but not essential.
- A CSCS card is desirable but not essential.

Benefits:- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Overtime (Weekends and Out of Hours): 1.5 times for any hours worked over the contracted 40 hours in a week and enhanced time between 10:00pm and 06:00am.
- Annual Leave: 21 days holiday + one extra day holiday for every full year of employment up to a maximum of 25 days + Bank and Public holidays. The company shuts down over the Christmas period.
- Birthday Leave: One day holiday given each year for you to take your birthday off or the following Monday if it falls on a weekend.
- Pension: A contributory group personal pension scheme run via Scottish Widows.
