LOGISTICS/TRANSPORT MANAGER - PERMANENT - £45+ (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE) - MONDAY TO FRIDAY

They are a top five nationwide leading supplier wholesaler delivering over 15,000 different branded and own-branded lines alongside exclusive distribution for some overseas brands throughout the UK.

Transport
Due to the continued growth of the business, our client is looking to recruit a new member of staff for their transport department. Based at the depot in Norfolk, this role will report to the Operations Director and work alongside the senior management team as well as supervisors from other departments when required.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- O-License Maintenance & Compliance For The Commercial Fleet
- Daily Route Planning Of Commercial Fleet
- Vehicle Maintenance and Legal Compliance For Commercial Fleet
- Maintenance Of Full Load And Groupage Transport From the Head Office site
- Key Account Transport Planning And Transport Procurement For Commercial Vehicle Replacement
Essential Requirements
- Transport Management CPC
- Minimum 3 Years transport experience in the FMCG sector
- Good Geographical Knowledge of the UK
- Working Knowledge of RTR and WTD legislation
- Good Working Knowledge Of Excel/Word/Outlook
- Professional Strong Communication Channels
- Ability To Work Under Pressure
- Experience In Multi-Drop Transport Operations
- Managerial Experience In The Haulage Sector
- Full UK Driving License / Class 2 HGV License
Logistics
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Liaising With Internal Departments and Senior Management Team
- Budget Maintenance
- Monitoring and Tracking of KPI Management
- Monitoring Training Requirements
- Staff Management & Appraisals
- Maintaining Health & Safety Standards and Protocols
- Maintaining Third Party Logistics for Parcel and Pallet Networks
- Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance for offsite vehicles
- Maintenance & Compliance of Manual Handling Equipment
- Procurement & Replacement for off-site vehicles & manual handling equipment
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 Years Logistics experience in the FMCG sector
