Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be required to perform the following key job functions:

Role Purpose

The Assistant Production Manager is a vital role within our operations. You will be expected to work directly on the production lines while simultaneously overseeing a small, fast-paced team. Your goal is to assist in ensuring that production targets are met, quality is uncompromised, and the unit operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shop Floor Leadership & Operations
  • Active Production: Work "hands-on" on the production lines to maintain output.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee a small team, ensuring staff are working efficiently and meeting hourly/daily targets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Operate all production machinery (following training) and assist with basic maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Labelling: Manage overprinting tasks using specialized printers and NiceLabel / NiceLabel Design software.
  • Staff Development: Assist with the training and onboarding of new team members, ensuring they are quickly up to speed on safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Quality Control & Dispatch
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure every product meets company standards before leaving the facility.
