The role
An opportunity has arisen to progress and develop to join our team of staff to lead the Goods-In side of the Night Shift. You will be reporting directly to the Night Shift Manager Goods IN/Out and working closely with the teams in both Goods IN and Goods OUT as well as communicating with all other department supervisors as and when required, for example, the Transport Department.
Your main responsibility will be as follows:
- Managing the movement of all stock throughout the shift, in terms of picking efficiencies. Monitor and observe throughout the shift.
- Signing off pick sheets where required, and finalising any spot checks. Assess the stages of picking and how it is progressing.
- Upskilling and implementing enhanced ways of working within the overall department, therefore reducing the risk of pick errors and loading errors. Coach and encourage high levels of concentration.
- Initiating corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
