We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver Class 2 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to their customers while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks.
Duties
- Safely operate a 12t curtain sider truck for deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Day runs into working away from site 3-4 nights per week (Night Out premium applies).
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, handball and/or palletised, ensuring items are secured properly for transport.
- Navigate assigned delivery routes efficiently while maintaining accurate delivery schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from customers.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any issues encountered during transit.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Class 2 Delivery Driver in a similar role is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is required.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as needed throughout the day.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roads is beneficial.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
