Job Details
Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours term‑time plus one week during holidays (39 weeks total).
Contract Type: Permanent.
Pay Scale: Grade 5, points 6–11 (£25,989‑£28,142 per annum).
Responsibilities
- Assist with small group work and contribute to engaging lessons.
- Support teachers in classroom delivery and pastoral care.
- Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate records.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
- Implement individualized support for students, including those with SEND.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good reading, writing and maths skills, with GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
- Ability to build professional relationships with children.
- Strong communication skills, friendly and clear with students, parents and colleagues.
- Can work well alone and as part of a team.
- Proactive, organised and committed to supporting student success.
Commitment to Safeguarding
- Full enhanced DBS check required.
- Additional checks: right to work, references, suitability to work with children.
- Candidates must disclose any unspent convictions or cautions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
