Our Personal Assistants support people to lead full, active and socially connected lives, helping them achieve the things that matter to them. We are looking for a dedicated and fun-loving female to join our team for a woman named June who lives a full, outgoing and creative life. She is funny, expressive and accomplished. She enjoys spending time on her computer, getting creative with knitting, writing about her life stories, and attending local social clubs. June's interests are diverse, and she also loves getaways, such as holidaying at the caravan park in Seton Sands.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to provide person-centred support to help June maintain her independence and stay connected to her community. She thrives when supported by individuals who value strong, trusting, and long-term relationships; thus, having the right values, attitude, and personality is what truly matters for this role. The ideal person would be very patient, confident, and supportive, with a commitment to active listening and a love for light-hearted banter, as building a trusting, long-term relationship is vital to her well-being.
We are looking for someone who can be consistent and who is seeking a long-term role with Thistle. The role is 16 hours per week, which includes day shifts, evening shifts, and sleepovers.

- Starting salary £13.45 per hour (£27,277 per annum (FTE)), rising to £13.55 per hour (£27,479 FTE) from 1st April 2026.
- Fantastic training (on full pay) includes enhanced learning in person-centred practice, leadership skills, IT, and other bespoke training courses.
- SSSC registration paid by Thistle.
- Support to achieve SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
- Support from regular meetings with your team, Lead Practitioner, or Coach.
- Contributory pension scheme.

- 30 days of annual leave, increasing by 1 day/year up to 35 days.
