The Client Strategy Director (Pod Lead) is a leadership role within the Revenue Tribe, reporting to the VP Client Strategy. Pod Leads are responsible for the commercial performance, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations of a multidisciplinary client pod.
As the commercial lead for the pod, you will own a portfolio of ThisThat’s largest and most strategic client partnerships, while also being accountable for Pod revenue growth, delivery quality, and team performance. You will play a key role in growing long-term client partnerships, increasing committed revenue, and ensuring clients receive strategically valuable, insight-led recommendations.
Pod Leads work closely with Insight Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure insight outputs deliver measurable commercial value for clients.
- Pod Leadership & Team Management
- Lead the performance, operations, and strategic direction of a multidisciplinary pod within the Revenue Tribe
- Build a high-performing culture centred on accountability, collaboration, commercial impact, and client excellence
- Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and development across Client Strategy and Insight team members
- Act as the senior escalation point for client, commercial, and operational challenges
- Commercial Growth & Client Partnerships
- Drive account expansion and committed revenue growth across the Pod portfolio
- Identify opportunities with the Business Development team to expand ThisThat’s presence across teams, markets, and business functions
- Lead the pod in achieving revenue targets and commercial objectives
- Build trusted, long-term client partnerships grounded in measurable business impact
- Ensure consistently high-quality, commercially impactful insight work across the pod
- Empower Insight Managers and pod teams to uncover compelling narratives and translate data into actionable client stories
- Partner closely with Insight Managers to ensure insight outputs align with client objectives and commercial opportunities
- Build strong relationships across Business Development, Paid Media, Data Science, Product, and Operations
- Maintain visibility of pod performance through accurate forecasting and reporting
Proven experience working within insights, measurement, research, or data-led roles. Strong understanding of translating data and insights into strategic recommendations. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of growing long-term partnerships. Familiarity with agile or pod-based team structures is advantageous. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
