As Head of Lenders, you will lead lender strategy, consumer choice, and process improvement. Managing two lender relationship managers, the underwriting manager, and their team, you will drive strong lender relationships and continuous enhancements in efficiency and customer experience. Collaborating across Acquisition, Pricing, and Complaints, you will ensure mutually beneficial partnerships that fuel growth and positive customer outcomes. Your strategic goal is to streamline the process to under five minutes while helping lenders boost profitability through improved quality, customer journey, accuracy, and book performance.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Drive lender strategy to ensure a seamless process from application to funding, offering transparency in pricing and product choice.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of lender relationship managers and underwriters.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create a unified, efficient process for sales partners and lender integrations.
- Work closely with lenders to maintain a consistent, positive customer journey and outcome.
- Drive automation and efficiency across lender processes, leveraging technology and decision engines.
- Build relationships with traditional and tech-driven lenders to expand market opportunities.
- Support product development by defining requirements and prioritizing technical delivery.
- Optimize acquisition strategies for price comparison sites.
- Lead contract negotiations to enhance operational efficiency and commercial outcomes.
- Expand the lender panel by identifying partners that improve approval rates, conversions, and pricing.
- Work openly with the technical team to drive continuous improvement.
- Represent lenders internally, advocating for improvements in sales, pricing, and technology.
- Act as the external representative within the lender market, upholding company values and professionalism.
- Stay informed on market trends and regulatory changes, providing insights to support better decision-making.
Requirements:
- Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role within automotive or financial services.
