The Role:
Our client is a leading provider of real-time financial news and intelligence, delivering critical insights to investment banks, hedge funds, and financial professionals globally. We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their dynamic global sales team in London.
As an SDR, you will play a key role in driving new business growth by generating and qualifying leads across Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Asia. You will be part of a high-performing team and report directly to the global SDR management team. This is an excellent entry point into financial sales, offering a fast-track progression into Account Management, Client Relations or Business Development roles within 6-9 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound lead generation across global markets
- Initiate contact with prospective clients
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads through structured calling sessions during trial periods
- Engage with senior stakeholders (C-suite) at investment banks and hedge funds
- Support account management efforts by maintaining relationships with existing clients and identifying risks and growth opportunities
- Present updates on sales activity and performance in weekly team meetings
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience
Training & Development
You will participate in a structured SDR training programme designed to build core sales skills and financial market knowledge. Training is delivered through a combination of internal sessions and external workshops, with a focus on continuous development and success in consultative sales.
Requirements
- Strong academic background with a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets and current affairs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, articulate, and highly organised
- Energetic, personable, and goal-driven with a strong desire to succeed
- A growth mindset and willingness to learn consultative sales techniques
- Basic understanding of market dynamics or economic principles
- Ability to be in the London office 3-4 days per week
