Salary: TBC depending on experience Description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Middleweight Graphic Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. We are looking for a talented individual, with a passion and enthusiasm for design, a creative flair and ability to work well with others. You must be willing to work across multiple projects to create eye-catching visuals for large organisations, SME’s, entrepreneurs and start-ups. Working as part of the design team, you will produce project deliverables to an exceptionally high standard with guidance from our Senior Designers and Operations Director. The position demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. The types of projects you will work on:- Creating graphic design concepts across an array of brands and projects. UI & UX Website design for a variety of clients, brands and projects. Design of corporate literature and artwork for print production. Creating brand identities and marketing and communications materials. Designing new business collateral for This is Fever. Responsibilities:- As a UX / UI Graphic Designer, you’ll need to: Create & present UI & UX Website design for a variety of clients, brands and projects. Meet clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job. Estimate the time required to complete a job. Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts. Use innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints. Work as part of a team, collaborate and share ideas. Be open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs. Work with a range of media, and keep up-to-date with emerging technologies. Proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work. Demonstrate the ability to take a brief from concept through to final delivery. Work with suppliers, such as printers, copywriters, photographers, external developers/designers and marketing specialists. Maintain good file management and version control. Flexibility to meet deadlines, including overtime if required. What to expect:- A relaxed, friendly and enjoyable working environment in an open plan studio. Job satisfaction comes from creating high-quality artwork and building a reputation for yourself and the company. Typically, work is mostly studio-based, travel within the working day to meet clients may be required. Use headphones if applicable (sometimes the studio can get busy). Regular progress reviews/121s. Further training if required. Qualifications 2:1 or higher Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Branding or Design or similar is preferred. Excellent skills in creating bespoke brand identities. Great sketching and illustration skills are useful. Excellent communication skills and confidence in client communication. Confidence in expressing ideas/presentation skills. A flexible approach when working in a team. Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at once. Actively interested in keeping up to date with trends and technology. Experience in working directly with clients and broader project teams. Proficient Apple or Windows user and Microsoft Office experience. Proficiency in Figma, the ability to demonstrate expertise in using Figma’s features, including component systems, auto layout, prototyping, and sharing Self-starter with good timekeeping. Working to a deadline and budget. Creating concepts that adhere to the client’s needs. Craft graphic design solutions that meet business objectives. Balancing and prioritising workload effectively. Develop a repeatable process for maintaining and iterating work. Assisting with project estimation. To examine and foresee any potential pitfalls with a project brief. Adaptability to new processes and tools. Competitor and industry awareness. Key Skills Accuracy and attention to detail when finalising designs. Excellent typesetting & Layout skills. Think creatively, with logic, and sketch and convey ideas. Extensive knowledge of graphic design and relevant software vital. Video or motion graphics experience useful but not essential. Experience in art-working and print production techniques. Understanding of Google Drive and associated Apps useful. Familiarity with web development/code, photography and copywriting useful. UX and UI experience, with a good understanding of responsive and adaptive web design. Contribute and translate wireframes, visual mock-ups and information architecture diagrams into beautiful and award-winning visual designs.
