The role:
As Operations Manager for PURE Life Experiences, you will lead the end-to-end operational, production, and logistical delivery of PURE, while also supporting Further East in close partnership with the Further East Operations Manager. This role is critical to ensuring consistency, shared learning, and operational excellence across both flagship events.
You will be responsible for implementing operational strategies, overseeing complex multi-day and multi-venue event delivery, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance across health & safety and risk management.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of a large-scale flagship event (up to 2,000 attendees), ensuring all operational tasks are completed on schedule.
- Support the end-to-end delivery of conferences, marketplaces, awards, dinners, parties, and experiential activations.
- Work closely with the Associate Event Director to implement annual event plans and ensure all operational requirements are met.
- Maintain detailed production schedules and timelines to track progress and manage dependencies across teams.
- Oversee smooth onsite operations, ensuring high satisfaction levels among delegates, Event Leaders, and partners.
Vendor, Budget & Supplier Management
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers, venues, and partners through consistent communication.
- Liaise with technical production partners, set builders, security, medical providers, graphics suppliers, and entertainment partners to ensure seamless delivery across multiple venues.
- Oversee operational contracts including venues, security, medical services, and production suppliers.
- Manage and monitor operational budgets with strong attention to detail and cost control.
- Support and coordinate partner and supplier activations during live events.
Compliance, Risk & Health & Safety
- Implement and manage health & safety plans and risk assessments across all phases of the event lifecycle.
- Monitor onsite compliance with health & safety regulations and proactively address any issues or incidents.
- Ensure all legal, financial, and organisational procedures are followed effectively.
Enhancing the Event Experience
- Manage logistical requirements for show floors and activations, including power, build, décor, and technical infrastructure.
- Source and coordinate entertainment such as MCs and DJs to elevate the delegate experience.
- Ensure signage and event communications align with creative and marketing briefs and brand standards.
- Work closely with creative teams to ensure consistent brand execution across all operational elements.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Support task allocation and monitor team performance against agreed KPIs.
- Gather insights and feedback during and post-event to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Prepare operational performance and efficiency reports for senior management.
- Share best practices and contribute to process improvements across the wider operations team.
Core Skills & Requirements
- 5–7 years’ experience in operational roles within the events industry, ideally delivering large-scale luxury or hospitality-led events.
- Proven experience managing complex event logistics, production, and onsite delivery.
- Strong project management capability with experience using tools such as Asana, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
- Confident budget management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members.
Additional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to travel globally and work flexible hours, particularly during event delivery periods.
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage pressure and make informed decisions.
