Job Description

Head of Sales – Buyers & Exhibitors

Show: Further East

This is not your average sales job. This is not your average company. At This is Beyond, we build worlds, not just events. We’re a global force of creative doers, obsessive detail-lovers, and standard-raisers who transform industries into communities — one extraordinary experience at a time.We don’t sell stands. We sell stories, relationships, energy. Our shows reimagine what a B2B event can be. Right now, we’re searching for a Head of Sales to lead the charge for Further East — one of the world’s leading luxury travel shows dedicated to Asia.

About Further East

Welcome to Asia Pacific’s most intimate luxury travel marketplace. Further East brings together the region’s most forward-thinking travel brands with global buyers and media — all set on the sun-soaked shores of Seminyak, Bali. This is not a convention centre in a capital city. It’s a barefoot business retreat, where relationships are forged under palm trees and deep conversations unfold between swims. The vibe is informal. The business is serious. It’s about quality, not quantity — curating the right buyers and sellers in a space that feels personal, purposeful, and unforgettable. As we grow, we need a sales leader who can scale that success without losing the intimacy.

Who You Are

We are seeking a Head of Sales with a passion for building, strategy and coaching their team. You will be a restless learner, always looking for the next trends and harnessing that knowledge to drive Further East forward. Ideally you will have demonstrable experience working in hotel hospitality, or adjacent sectors. To be successful in this role you will get what high-touch sales really means. You will be creative, data-led, agile, and obsessed with understanding what makes your clients tick. Leading with confidence and humility, you will be a champion of commercial innovation for the Further East team.

What you will do

Deliver Revenue Growth with Vision & Grit

  • Own and grow the commercial success of Further East, year-on-year.
  • Lead sales strategy and execution for exhibitor stands, sponsorships, and curated buyer programmes.
  • Design and adapt propositions based on real-time insight, feedback, and performance.
  • Maximise value across exhibitor room bookings and contracted minimum spend.

Curate & Grow a Community

  • Build meaningful, long-term relationships with Asia Pacific’s leading travel brands and high-value global buyers.
  • Drive retention while actively identifying and converting fresh leads.
  • Be the key contact for major clients, understanding their goals — and exceeding their expectations.
  • Travel internationally to industry events to network, pitch, and absorb emerging trends.

Lead With Data, Act With Heart

  • Set up weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting rhythms to track sales performance and pipeline health.
  • Use CRM systems (Salesforce) and market data to refine strategy, spot gaps, and seize opportunities.
  • Maintain clean, accurate data — and instil that habit across your team of direct reports.

Coach, Inspire & Raise the Bar

  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales team that loves working and growing together.
  • Set ambitious goals, hold regular 1:1s, give clear feedback, and celebrate wins.
  • Embed smart habits, drive curiosity, and push for innovation in how we sell and serve.

Own the Detail, Shape the Big Picture

  • Work hand-in-hand with Event Leaders and Ops to refine floor plans, curate experiences, and manage budgets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure messaging aligns with commercial goals.
  • Lead the delivery of pre-scheduled meetings through our curated marketplace model.

What you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in the hospitality, luxury travel, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of driving commercial growth using a data-driven, analytical approach.
  • Understanding of luxury travel with strong industry connections.(preferred but not essential).
  • Demonstrable success in leading sales teams, creating an environment of camaraderie and learning for your team, developing their talent, and providing critical feedback.
  • Ability to adapt to change and take an agile, entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.
  • Confidence in managing event sales cycles, with familiarity in Salesforce (preferred but not essential).
  • Bring high energy and a low ego
  • Are equal parts commercially sharp and relationally strong
  • Lead from the front — with kindness, confidence, and clarity
  • Thrive in fast-moving environments and international contexts
  • Love helping others grow — and grow yourself along the way
  • Know your way around a budget, a buyer list, and a Bali beach bar
  • Willing to travel globally as required.
