Description

The opportunity

We are excited to offer the opportunity for an experienced Talent Partner to join our business and People team. In this role you will have the opportunity to help shape talent acquisition, the way we recruit and partner with the business and how we deliver an excellent candidate experience. Focused on working collaboratively with the People Partners and Senior Management team you will develop and implement talent acquisition strategies, support progression and development, ensuring we acquire the best talent, and position Progeny as a global employer of choice. Always acting as a brand ambassador, you will champion and promote our proposition and employer brand.

Location

We are flexible on location and therefore, this role could be based in one of our UK offices in Leeds, Nottingham, or Edinburgh. We operate hybrid working enabling home and office working; allowing you to balance your personal responsibilities/interests and connect with your colleagues.

What you will be doing

As a Talent Partner, you will adopt a partnering approach with hiring managers, becoming a trusted advisor, understanding their function and working closely to deliver on the recruitment needs. To do this, you will:

  • Ensure that there are appropriate policies and processes in place for recruitment and selection.
  • Ensure that roles within the business have a recruitment process that is appropriate for its level and sector, that we are utilising talent pools, line managers, and other sourcing methods appropriately.
  • Partner with functional area to understand challenges and opportunities, working to develop solutions and initiatives.
  • Utilise technology solutions to improve the effectiveness of our recruitment, selection and talent acquisition/management practices.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Senior People Partner and Senior Management teams in your areas to integrate talent into the workforce and manage succession planning.
  • Ensure that monthly reporting and analysis is undertaken to demonstrate the effectiveness of our recruitment approaches.
  • Maintain and improve EDI practices ensuring all content and communications meets expectations.
  • Ensure that Progeny’s value proposition is clear across our career site and job adverts, and work with marketing to develop action plans to promote our employer brand across social media platforms.
  • Lead on and support with learning & development activities such as summer school, apprenticeships, graduate programs, work experience.

  • You are embedded into required business area(s) and have established and effective working relationships with hiring managers.
  • You have built a strong understanding of the various business areas.
  • Processes are well-defined and embedded, with training provided as needed.
  • Measures are in place to evaluate performance and results.
  • Established marketing strategies are in place and support the building of talent pools.
  • A flexible approach to the role and changing priorities.

To succeed in the role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience within a Talent Acquisition role.
  • Demonstrable experience partnering strategically with all levels of stakeholders and supporting a variety of roles.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various selection techniques and evaluation methods.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, and quick to connect with others.
  • Resilience and diplomacy, especially in managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach to achieving collective success.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems.
