Our client is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Shipping Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of their operations, ensuring the efficient handling of cargo for their import and export activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the shipment of goods, ensuring accurate and timely dispatch.
- Process and document transactions in Cargo Wise, including data entry and generating shipping documentation.
- Handle import and export operations, familiar with customs clearance procedures and regulations.
- Monitor shipments and provide updates to customers and internal teams.
- Pack, weigh, and label cargo in preparation for shipment.
- Schedule pick-ups and deliveries, and liaise with carriers and other third parties.
- Maintain inventory control, making sure that cargo is stored correctly and inventory levels are accurately tracked.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to expedite the flow of cargo from the warehouse to shipping.
- Resolve any issues related to shipping or documentation efficiently.
- Comply with safety and legal guidelines, ensuring all activities conform to industry standards.
Experience:
