We are looking for a proficient and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you'll be tasked with the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment within commercial office sites, ensuring that the facilities are operating at optimal levels. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment for our business operations. This is a site-based role/ night shift role.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance on commercial office site systems to ensure they function correctly and safely.
- Perform repairs on a variety of electrical equipment, including fan units, water heaters, and power outlets.
- Conduct safety checks and testing of the electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage planned preventative maintenance schedules to reduce the risk of unexpected equipment failure.
- Record maintenance and repair work performed and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies.
- Communicate with site management regarding any major maintenance or repairs needed and provide recommendations.
- Liaise with external contractors when specialist skills are required.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies while carrying out your duties.
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified electrician with a relevant electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar role within a commercial environment.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and components commonly used in office buildings.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
