Alexander Faraday Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established British engineering manufacturer for two newly created MRO Technician positions.
These roles have been created due to the continued expansion of the Maintenance, Repair Overhaul (MRO) team and offer the opportunity to join a highly respected engineering business with an excellent reputation for quality, innovation and long-term career development.
Whether your background is in maintenance, overhaul or mechanical repair, this is an opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist engineering environment, working on complex mechanical products to the highest standards.
The Role Working as part of a growing team, you'll be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repair and overhaul activities on returned products and components.
Initially, your focus will be on structured training allowing you to develop into a broader range of maintenance, overhaul and repair activities over time.
Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out scheduled maintenance on returned products and components.
Diagnosing faults and completing repairs.
Replacing mechanical components.
Completing overhaul and rebuild activities.
Carrying out parachute repacking in line with detailed procedures.
Performing modification and retrofit work.
Following engineering drawings, work instructions and quality procedures.
Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and to the highest standards.
What We're Looking For We're interested in hearing from engineers who have experience maintaining, repairing or overhauling complex mechanical equipment.
Suitable backgrounds may include: Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Maintenance Manufacturing Precision Engineering Mechanical Assembly Test Repair Overhaul Any environment involving the maintenance or overhaul of complex mechanical systems You'll ideally have: An Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Alternatively, around three years' relevant engineering maintenance experience.
Experience fault finding, repairing or overhauling mechanical equipment.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to follow detailed engineering procedures and technical documentation.
A methodical, quality-focused approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
