Are you an experienced L&D professional ready to hit the ground running? We're looking for a confident, hands-on Learning & Development Project Lead to shape and deliver a strategic training programme across a diverse, operational management workforce in London. This is a highly visible role focused on talent mapping, skills gap analysis, training design, delivery, and evaluation working across all levels, from operational managers to senior leadership.
The Role:
This isn't a desk job. You'll be actively visiting sites, engaging managers, and gathering insights to inform and develop a targeted learning strategy. The focus is on improving consistency, upskilling leadership, and supporting a cultural shift in how training is delivered and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify training needs through data, performance scores, and stakeholder engagement
- Map skills, analyse leadership capability, and create tailored development programmes
- Design and deliver impactful training for non-driving staff through to General Managers
- Evaluate training effectiveness and refine approaches based on outcomes
- Occasionally source bespoke external solutions when necessary
- Contribute to digital transformation of training delivery (currently classroom-based)
- Partner with senior leaders to ensure alignment with operational and business goals
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience in L&D within transport, logistics, or similar blue-collar environments
- Skilled in TNA, training design, delivery, and evaluation
- Comfortable leading from the front and influencing senior stakeholders
- Resilient, proactive, and able to build trust quickly on-site
- Experience in project management and digital learning transformation
Our client offers a good benefits package coupled with an exciting role. This is a 9-12 month contract and can be offered as hybrid 3 days a week, once settled into the role.
