We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior IT Support Technician to join our international client. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and grow within the field of Information Technology. The role is varied and offers the opportunity to provide support across a range of areas including network support, application support, desktop and user support, peripheral hardware, printers, and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Provide first-line support to users on various issues and problems related to hardware, software, networking, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems and applications.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Support and maintain users' accounts including password resets, user rights, and system policies.
  • Monitor network performance and contribute to network upgrades and expansions.
  • Provide support for the company's applications and assist users with usage and troubleshooting.
  • Log all incoming requests in the IT service management system and ensure that users receive efficient and timely support.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT support technicians or other appropriate technical staff.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in the field.
  • Participate in IT projects as directed by supervisors or project leads.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience in an IT support role, preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Windows Operating System, and basic networking principles.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools, Active Directory, and basics of troubleshooting network issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to progress and learn and adapt in a fast-paced IT environment.
