This is an opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician to join a growing commercial fleet operation. This role offers more ownership than a standard workshop position.
The Role:
- Service, maintain and repair HGVs and specialist commercial vehicles
- Complete PMI inspections and MOT preparation
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Manage vehicle defects and planned maintenance
- Maintain accurate compliance and maintenance records
- Liaise with suppliers and specialist contractors where needed
- Support workshop organisation and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent
- Proven HGV / LGV maintenance experience
- Experience with PMIs and MOT preparation
- Good understanding of fleet compliance
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- Waste, refuse or specialist fleet experience
- Hydraulic / PTO experience
- Welding or fabrication experience
