We are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider working on a long-term public sector contract. This is a mobile field-based role covering South London, responsible for the servicing, installation, commissioning, and reactive fault-finding of commercial HVAC systems across multiple sites. You will be joining a high-performing engineering team delivering essential maintenance services on a large-scale, SLA-driven contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and fault-find commercial HVAC systems
- Carry out commissioning and installation of HVAC equipment
- Work on chillers, air handling units (AHUs), and associated systems
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and emergency callouts
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Produce accurate reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all works meet H&S standards, RAMS, and site procedures
- Liaise with contract teams and site stakeholders
- Support warranty and remedial works when required
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Strong background in HVAC / Air Conditioning service engineering
- Experience with fault finding and reactive maintenance
- Ability to work across commercial building services environments
- F-Gas certification
- Full UK driving licence
Highly Desirable
- Experience with chillers, AHUs, VRF/VRV systems
- Background in FM or building services contracts
- Experience working on SLA-driven or public sector contracts
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
