A well-established and quality-led pub group is looking for a Sous Chef to join one of their busy West London sites. This is a fresh food kitchen with a strong focus on seasonal British produce, high standards, and consistently well-executed food. The business has built an excellent reputation for quality dining in a relaxed pub environment and is looking for a Sous Chef who shares the same approach to food and hospitality. The kitchen operates at a high volume, so this role would suit somebody who is calm under pressure, organised, and genuinely passionate about proper cooking using fresh ingredients.
The Role
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service
- Maintaining consistently high food standards and presentation
- Working with fresh, seasonal, British ingredients
- Assisting with stock control, GP, ordering and kitchen organisation
- Ensuring HACCP and food safety standards are maintained
- Helping develop junior chefs within the brigade
What They’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a quality fresh-food environment
- Background within gastropubs, premium pubs, British restaurants, or quality independent groups
- Passion for seasonal British food and quality ingredients
- Stable employment history
- Strong communication and kitchen leadership skills
- Comfortable working within a busy, high-volume service
