Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Civil & Structural Engineer to join their growing team, specialising in structural engineering projects in rail infrastructure. Our client will consider contract as well as permanent.

Duties

  • Technical leadership
  • Team and project management - Key member of the structural design teams through all the project stages
  • Undertake structural design for projects including rail infrastructure
  • Comply with design standards and undertake and manage the drawings, specifications, and design deliverables
  • Client and business engagement - Act as structural engineering contact and build and maintain strong relationships with clients and contractors

Requirements

  • BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in a design consultancy.
  • Proficiency in design software and a high level of computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of UK design codes, standards and industry specifications
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE or IStructE) or near chartered status
  • A current clean UK driving license is advantageous
