This is AFR is recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing and environmentally focused organisation operating within the commercial waste and recycling sector. We are seeking a reliable and proactive HGV Class 2 Driver to complete commercial collection routes across Greater London. You will predominantly work independently, operating specialist vehicles while maintaining strong safety, compliance and customer-service standards.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Early starts between 3:00am and 4:00am
- Minimum of 10 paid hours per working day
- Alternate Saturdays available and paid at the overtime rate
Pay and Benefits
- £18.57 per hour
- Approximately £48,282 basic annual earnings before overtime and bonus
- Overtime paid at £24.76 per hour
- Performance bonus of up to £2,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities
- Complete commercial collection routes across Greater London
- Operate Class 2 vehicles and specialist collection equipment safely
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects
- Complete approximately 25–30 collections, depending on the route
- Maintain accurate collection and compliance records
- Follow Driver CPC, tachograph and working-time regulations
- Deliver a professional service when attending customer sites
