The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

To contribute to the management of the school/service and the delivery of quality education through the appropriate involvement of pupils, staff, parents, multi-disciplinary agencies and the community it serves. This will be done in accordance with the Authority’s Strategic Plan, the school’s/service’s Development Plan, national priorities, local improvement objectives, current legislation, and national and local agreements.

Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Roles that require PVG Membership: With effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above (teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above, currently £31,505 per annum / £17.31 per hour). The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first full month’s salary payment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Appropriate Teaching Qualification
  • Full GTC (Scotland) Registration in the appropriate subject or sector
  • PVG scheme membership

Additional Requirements: The postholder is able to demonstrate:

  • Standard for Full Registration
  • Standard for Continued Professional Learning
  • Standard for Middle Level Leadership
