Overview
Job Purpose and Location: Aberdeen City Council – Permanent, Full Time. The role involves driving (LGV) waste collection vehicles in compliance with work instructions and road safety legislation, completing allocated daily routes and supervising the crew allocated to the vehicle.
PVG Membership: Roles requiring PVG membership may require the cost of PVG membership. The Council will pay the PVG membership cost initially and this cost will be deducted from the employee's first full month's salary payment.
Location: Aberdeen City Council (as applicable per posting)
Duration: Permanent, Full Time
The Post Holder Needs To Hold (Minimum):
- Full current UK Driving Licence
- Valid CPC Licence, Drivers Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card

- Leading a team to achieve set tasks
- Communicating effectively both orally and in writing
- Understanding instructions given and delivering a high-quality service based on these
- Resolving issues and contributing to continuous improvement of service
Responsibilities:
The postholder will undertake driving (LGV) duty of waste collection vehicles in compliance with work instructions and road safety legislation. To complete allocated daily routes and to supervise the crew allocated to the vehicle.
