thirtyone:eight is an independent Christian safeguarding charity and membership organisation whose call to action comes from Proverbs 31:8 ‘speak out on behalf of the voiceless, and for the rights of all who are vulnerable’. This shapes everything they do and for nearly half a century they have worked tirelessly to help create safer places for children and adults at risk.

They now seek their next Chief Executive who can provide effective and inclusive leadership of the organisation, supporting its growth and strategic development. As a recognised leader in the charitable or public sector space, it is highly likely that you will have extensive knowledge or experience of strategic development and transformation, public advocacy and networking, safeguarding, governance and compliance, and demonstrate a servant-leadership style and empowering people development skills.

As a practising Christian, you will be comfortable living your faith at work in an organisation underpinned by Christian values. With a competitive salary and benefits package this role will suit those that love to engage, network and travel throughout the UK and who are comfortable leading, engaging and developing an organisation that works increasingly through a hybrid and remote model.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK, with regular travel to London and other locations as required. While many staff work remotely, the post holder will be expected to visit the Charity’s Swanley (Kent) offices reasonably regularly.
