Role Overview
Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Repairs Manager. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of up to 15 operatives, running the day‑to‑day repairs service to maximise operational service delivery. This is a roam role, so you’ll work at least one day a week from Hudson Quay, as well as out on site and at home. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team needs, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of up to 15 multi‑skilled trade operatives, ensuring KPIs are met to maintain excellent service delivery levels.
- Oversee all aspects of your team’s performance and embed a culture of safe working practices.
- You’ll conduct regular 1:1s, manage absence, and identify training/development opportunities.
- As the point of escalation for internal and external dissatisfaction cases, you’ll take a balanced and proactive approach to achieve positive outcomes.
- Monitor operational performance and quality standards against KPIs to keep performance on track.
- You’ll also be part of the paid call‑out rota for the repairs service.
About You
- Experience managing a multi‑skilled team of operatives.
- You’ll be confident coaching people and delivering training sessions.
- An excellent working knowledge of health and safety requirements in a repairs and maintenance service.
- Someone who looks for opportunities to continuously improve the service and provide value for money.
- You’ll be comfortable challenging inefficiencies and suggesting innovative ways of working.
- Ideally, you’ll have a HNC level qualification or equivalent in construction management or a related discipline.
- Able to effectively use repairs‑specific IT systems and broader IT applications.
- You’ll have a full UK driving licence and a vehicle to enable you to travel across the region during the working day.
