Join us as a Multi Trade Operative at Thirteen Group!
Role Overview:
We’re looking for 8 Multi Trade Operatives in our Empty Homes Team on a full time, permanent basis. Working mainly in the Tees Valley area (Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough), with occasional travel beyond, you’ll deliver high quality repairs and maintenance works in empty properties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support our Empty Homes team to prepare empty properties to the highest standards, ensuring they are ready for new customers quickly and efficiently.
- Carry out a wide range of repairs on our empty properties connected with your specialist trade and your secondary trade skills.
- Deliver a fantastic service to get homes ready for letting, focusing on quality work and ‘right first time’ completion.
- Jobs are planned for you by our Work Planners so you can concentrate on carrying out works to a high standard.
- You’ll have a fixed shift pattern of 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4pm on Fridays in summer. In the winter, these hours will be 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 3.30pm on Fridays.
- We’ll provide you with a company van, fuel card, tools and any PPE you’ll need for the role.
About You:
- We’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates with Joinery or Plumbing as your main trade.
- You’ll hold NVQ Level 3, plus experience in doing other trade tasks e.g. joinery, plumbing, plastering/tiling, brickwork, decorating, fencing, roofing or drainage.
- You must have a full, manual UK driving licence.
- Comfortable using digital devices or be willing to learn. We use mobile and hand-held devices to allocate jobs and for you to record your completion of work.
- A commitment to safe working practices and a good grasp of health and safety regulations.
- We’d particularly be interested in hearing from female applicants.
