Thirteen Group is seeking two Data Migration and Governance Specialists (internally known as a Data Migration & Governance Engineer) on a 12‑month fixed term contract. Experience in NEC or Asprey data migrations would be highly advantageous! This is a hybrid role, so you’ll be expected to work between home and our fantastic office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team needs, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver proactive data quality monitoring using validation rules, automated checks and reporting to ensure trusted data.
- Identify and resolve data issues, working with technical and operational teams to address root causes and embed improvements.
- Support data migration, integration and cleansing activities, ensuring data integrity throughout system transitions.
- Maintain and enhance data governance assets, including data dictionaries, lineage, and standards.
- Collaborate with business users and system owners to improve data input quality and promote consistent standards.
- Enable data quality tooling and support audit and compliance requirements through accurate reporting and evidence.
About You
- Experience of delivering data migration, data quality or governance activities within complex system environments.
- An understanding of ETL, data cleansing and integration principles and how they apply in practice.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a structured approach to root‑cause analysis and issue resolution.
- The ability to work across technical and non-technical teams, influencing improvements in data processes and standards.
- A strong focus on data accuracy, consistency and continuous improvement, with a passion for high‑quality data.
- Experience using Microsoft Purview (or similar tools) for data scanning, data cataloguing and supporting data quality and governance activities.
