Role Overview

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Claims Officer to join our Assurance and Compliance team.

As the backbone of our claims management arrangements, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join us.

You’ll be the key contact for disrepair claims and insurance claims queries, as well as helping to drive continuous improvement of our claims management and insurance service.

Whilst direct experience is not essential as full training will be given

, we are looking for candidates to be able to refer to their experience and skills as transferrable to the functions of the role.

We’d expect you to work at least one day a week from our office, or as and when the service requires.

Key Responsibilities

  • As the main contact for insurance and disrepair claims, you’ll co-ordinate the full process, in line with established procedures and processes.
  • Working as part of a small Assurance team of five, you’ll ensure claims are managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide specialist advice on claims management processes and requirements and deliver training sessions.
  • As an ambassador for Thirteen, you’ll co-ordinate and develop great relationships with external partners and internal teams.
  • Collate and maintain claims data to support insurance renewals and reporting.

About You

  • Someone who can work methodically, both on an independent and collaborative basis, to meet deadlines and schedules.
  • Experience of participating in projects with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Fantastic communication and negotiation skills to handle sensitive situations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify process improvements.
  • Confident using a range of IT systems and applications.
