Thirteen Group is looking for a Support Service Worker to join our Refugee Resettlement Team in Redcar for a 9‑month placement. In this rewarding role you will work directly with refugee families, managing a caseload and delivering person‑centred support planning and interventions to help them integrate into the local community. This is a roving role, working primarily in customers’ homes, community centres, and our team office in Redcar and Cleveland. You may also work from home a couple of days each month. Flexibility is key, as you may need to attend the office more frequently depending on business and team needs. Bilingual applicants fluent in Arabic, Dari, or Farsi are especially encouraged, as these language skills are highly beneficial in supporting our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities
- Drafting person‑centred support plans that support moving the customer forward and integrating into UK society in addition to accurate record keeping.
- Delivering person‑centred support, linking in with and referring to key services to ensure the best outcome for the customer.
- Planning and delivering group sessions to customers that aid their integration and understanding in the UK to promote community engagement and wellbeing. For example, you’ll support in the delivery of non‑accredited conversational English classes.
- Building relationships with partner agencies and stakeholders.
About You
- Clear and confident communicator, able to build trust and rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Resilient, adaptable, accountable, with the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally while maintaining a high standard of service.
- Skilled in time management, with the ability to independently manage your diary and workload to meet service demands.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding when working with vulnerable customers.
- Previous experience of working with individuals in a supporting context.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role, as it involves regular travel across Redcar and Cleveland to visit customers in their homes and community settings.
- Bonus: fluent in Arabic, Dari or Farsi.
