Role Overview
Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Community Development Co-ordinator (internally known as a Community Connector) to join our Regeneration and Partnerships team.
We have big ambitions to ensure our neighbourhoods are great places customers love, and you’ll help us to achieve these aspirations.
This is a roam role, so you’ll work mainly out in the community across the Tees Valley. You’ll work at least one day a week from our fantastic office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough and there will also be some opportunities to work from home too. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team need, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required

Key Responsibilities
  • Bring to life and help drive our vision of creating resilient, thriving communities where people feel empowered, involved, and proud of where they live
  • Using a range of methods, you’ll engage, support, and bring together customers, the community, and stakeholders. Your aim will be to maximise the support and networks available to customers
  • Help to identify and create new groups and nurture existing ones. You’ll also support communities at the grass roots level, building local connections and collaborating with like-minded organisations
  • Working within the community, you\'ll utilise and connect individuals to services in the local area. Using your local knowledge, you\'ll identify gaps in provision and work with the community, stakeholders and funders to develop sustainable solutions which promote resilience
  • Support the capture of outcomes so we can evidence the impact of our great work
About You
  • Fantastic knowledge and experience of community engagement and working with volunteers. You’ll understand the key issues surrounding regeneration and community resilience
  • Motivated to achieve great outcomes for customers, you’ll have a strong track record of building networks and meaningful connections between people and community organisations
  • Creative in your approach, you’ll have the skills and experience to develop and drive community-led solutions which promote community resilience
  • There’s lots to do to deliver on our ambitions, so you’ll need to be well organised, can work off your own initiative and an excellent communicator
