Join us as an Accommodation Support Worker at Thirteen Group!

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for people to join our Talent Pool for the Accommodation Support Worker position. This means there is not currently a role available, but we recruit proactively so that we can progress straight to offer for you when one arises. You’ll work on our Ministry of Justice funded accommodation contract across the Tees Valley area.

The Accommodation Support Worker will provide support in both community and custody settings, to meet the needs of our customers. The Resettle North East contract provides support for ex-offenders to source, secure and sustain accommodation. Having stable accommodation goes a long way to help people break the cycle of re-offending.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a caseload of ex-offenders in the Tees Valley area to secure and maintain suitable and settled accommodation. You’ll help people source, secure and sustain accommodation.
  • Provide people with the skills and support they need to find and maintain a home, avoiding the instability that can lead to re-offending.
  • You’ll enable service users to overcome any barriers which may prevent them from sustaining accommodation and enable them to build on their life skills.
  • Provides personalised support in both custodial and community settings. You’ll work across HMP Holme House, HMP Kirklevington, as well as out in the community.
  • Deliver high levels of performance to provide positive outcomes and meet contractual requirements.
About You
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of customers to promote positive and sustained change. Previous experience of working within a criminal justice setting would be advantageous.
  • Able to manage a caseload of varying complexities. You’ll be results-driven and strive for positive outcomes.
  • Confident in delivering 1-1 sessions and group interventions.
  • Resilient and can adapt to change. You’ll be passionate and driven to ensure positive outcomes against contract requirements.
  • The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and HMPPS vetting.
  • You will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle during working hours.
