Role Overview
At Thirsk School and Sixth Form College we invite applications for a Teacher of English, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 and with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will be adept at delivering both Language and Literature at Key Stage 4, inspiring and engaging our students through engaging teaching methods. We seek an enthusiastic, creative, and talented educator who can ignite a passion for learning in our students. You will thrive in a collaborative atmosphere, where you will have the support to enhance your teaching practice in a positive environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5.
- Deliver Language and Literature at Key Stage 4.
- Engage students through innovative teaching methods.
- Serve as a form tutor, building meaningful relationships with a designated group of students.
- Participate in CPD programme, including classroom observations and peer learning.
- Contribute to a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualified teacher with MPS/UPS.
