As a Commercial Manager, you will formulate and execute commercial strategies during the pre-construction phase, meticulously managing the supply chain to maximise quality of design and profitability.

Responsibilities

· Strategically contribute to pitches within your business unit

· Effectively collaborate with clients, understanding their unique requirements, and work to develop tailored solutions that align with their vision

· Co-ordinate the design, sales, and sub-contract team to ensure design and costs are aligned

· Assess contractors’ tender submissions to determine the best fit for each project

· Produce cost breakdown using Excel

· Understand MEP drawings and terminology

· Pitch to prospective Clients, including but not limited to, presenting pre-contract cost documents

Post appointment

· Produce RFI and manage throughout pre con phase

· Co-ordinate LTA process and ensure that all information received is fit for submission

· Work with the design team and supply chain to ensure all detailed drawings, tech subs and calculations are in place ready for contract signing

Health and safety & compliance

· Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety within the company are focused upon during the pre-construction phase, including adherence of all CDM requirements

· Ensure compliance to Building Regulations, Planning Regulations, and Building Control Legislations

Client relations and Leadership

· Accurate hand-over of construction documentation to Project Manager.

· Assemble an effective project team (Sub-contractors / structural / fire consultants etc.)

Experience

Design and Build experience is preferred with a minimum of 5 years within the built environment required.
