Role: People Lead

Maternity cover: 12 month fixed term contract

Ideal Start Date: February 2026

Hybrid role: 2 days per week in our London office

We’re on a mission to protect society from fraud and money laundering. We’ve already protected over 3 million people through life’s big transactions. Fraud and regulation are rising, costing the UK economy over £100bn every year; this makes it more difficult for businesses to protect themselves and their clients from fraud and money laundering.

Thirdfort helps businesses to facilitate these anti-fraud checks so that individuals know they can transact safely and seamlessly with professionals during these big transactions. Our anti-fraud platform provides a secure way for professionals in regulated sectors like Lawyers, Estate Agents and Accountants to transfer funds and verify sensitive information through app-based document checks, facial recognition and open banking. Over 1,500 businesses now trust Thirdfort to verify their clients. We are FCA regulated and have raised over $33m in capital from leading Fintech investors.

The Role

We are looking for a People Lead to refine and execute a people strategy that attracts, nurtures, and retains top talent while fostering a culture of high performance and growth so Thirdfort can achieve its goals. You’ll join and lead a People team currently made up of a People Partner and People & Workspace Associate. You will report into our COO, and work closely with leaders across the business.

  • Own and execute the People strategy: Deliver the 2026/7 People annual plan, reporting regularly on progress against the plan and day-to-day KPIs, while collaborating with the COO and leadership to align people strategies with business goals.
  • Act as a Culture and Engagement lead: Championing and working to embed our values and culture across the business and in our People & Talent approach.
  • Build manager and leadership capability: Work to ensure we’re enabling managers through effective partnership, coaching, advice, and training on strategic and operational people matters to drive high performance across their teams.
  • Own our People Partnering approach: Partnering with leaders across the business, ensuring our approach enables teams to achieve their goals.
  • Oversee People operations and analytics: Manage day-to-day people operations, maintain regular People reporting for internal and business-wide use, and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of People initiatives.
  • Manage and develop the People team: Lead the team, providing coaching and development to ensure the team delivers exceptional service and continues to grow their capabilities.
  • Manage the People budget: Work with the COO to manage the annual People budget, ensuring spending delivers clear ROI and supports business objectives.

You may be right for this role if you:

  • Have worked in a People Lead role or similar in a fast-growth business.
  • Have experience partnering with Leaders and Managers.
  • Are organised and have experience leading company-wide projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Are data driven - comfortable using People data to identify trends, report on progress and inform strategy.
  • Have a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Have experience managing and coaching a team.

Studies show that women and other less represented groups are less likely to apply for roles unless they meet every requirement. We believe in building a diverse team, valuing different skills and experiences.

Life at Thirdfort: Driven by our values, our culture promotes a collaborative and open environment where Thirdforters can take ownership, have impact, and feel empowered when it comes to their growth and development.

Our Benefits: We’ve created our benefits package to reflect Thirdfort’s mission and values. Our benefits exist to empower our team, ensuring they feel supported and able to work in the way that enables them to do their best work.
