We're on a mission to protect society from fraud and money laundering. We've already protected over 3 million people through life's big transactions. Fraud and regulation are rising, costing the UK economy over £100bn every year; this makes it more difficult for businesses to protect themselves and their clients from fraud and money laundering. Our co-founders were led to this area when a friend was defrauded of £25K when buying their first property. At the time, anti-fraud technology didn't exist, which meant that completing the anti-fraud checks required in these processes was largely manual. These big life moments should be exciting, but instead are often confusing and scary due to the painful process of completing these paper-based checks and the risk of fraud. Thirdfort helps businesses to facilitate these anti-fraud checks so that individuals know they can transact safely and seamlessly with professionals during these big transactions. Our anti-fraud platform provides a secure way for professionals in regulated sectors like Lawyers, Estate Agents and Accountants to transfer funds and verify sensitive information through app-based document checks, facial recognition and open banking. Over 1,500 businesses now trust Thirdfort to verify their clients. We are FCA regulated and have raised over $33m in capital from leading Fintech investors.
The mission of the role: Thirdfort is scaling, and we’re looking for someone to help solve new challenges, build new capabilities, and drive execution wherever it matters most. You'll take on the highest-priority cross-functional projects - improving how we operate, unlocking efficiency, and delivering the initiatives that move the business forward. You will work closely with core teams on the highest impact initiatives across engineering, product, hiring, customer experience, and commercial. We're looking for people who learn quickly, think deeply, and enjoy solving difficult problems. The right person is analytical and hands-on with data, thrives on variety, and loves owning a problem all the way to a result. This role requires hands-on delivery and execution.
You’ll be successful in this role by:
- Owning complex, cross-functional programmes end to end - integrations, transformations and special projects - scoping them, driving them, and closing them to a measurable outcome.
- Taking end-to-end project ownership, including strategic planning, implementation, and thorough performance reporting.
- Digging into operational data to diagnose what's really going on, and turning that analysis into decisions and fixes.
- Solving problems by collaborating with diverse teams to identify and address challenges, focusing on building, launching, and scaling efficient processes that drive growth.
- Driving operational excellence by leading efforts to instill operational best practices across teams.
- Stepping into gaps when the business needs a capable operator.
- Turning recurring problems into documented, reusable playbooks and automation.
You may be right for this role if you:
- Have ~3-5 years in top-tier consulting (strategy) and/or a high-growth scaleup, with real delivery and operating experience.
- Excel as a generalist who can build overarching strategy and go deep into specific issues and processes.
- Have a bias for action and a track record of leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a cross-functional team environment.
- Love to leverage AI where it can make meaningful impact and improvements.
- Have owned complex, cross-functional projects end to end and can evidence the outcomes you delivered.
- Are strongly analytical and genuinely hands-on with data.
- Communicate crisply and clearly, in writing and in person.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and have a strong bias for action.
Nice to haves:
- Exposure to integrations, business transformation or M&A.
- Experience in a regulated and/or fintech environment.
