About ThirdDay Ventures

ThirdDay Ventures is the UK's first dedicated venture partner for Christians - where bold ideas, deep faith, and cutting-edge technology merge. We equip and empower Christian entrepreneurs, technologists, and creatives to build impact-focused technology startups, either for the secular world or faith-communities. With a dedicated suite of programmes, including an incubator, accelerator and venture studio, we're helping faith-driven founders to ideate, scale and grow startups. With our first venture studio startup in situ - we’re excited to bring in a Co-Founder to lead an exciting faith-driven venture.

About The Venture - Hailo

Hailo is the world's first faith-tech platform to revolutionise how church leaders understand and support their congregations, using cutting edge AI to provide a data-driven approach to ministry and hyper-personalised support to believers to create opportunities for human flourishing. Think of it as a combination of "Perplexity, Amazon and Hubspot for Faith Communities and Churches" - an AI-native platform that helps users navigate their faith journey and life by accessing personalised support, scripture and services, and data-driven insights and AI-driven recommendations for Church Leaders to tailor their sermons, pastoral care and outreach that resonates more deeply with the needs of their people.

In a world where Pastors are burnt out, and parishioners are desperate to be seen and heard - Hailo's SaaS platform facilitates more empathetic and effective ministry. Backed by ThirdDay Ventures team, you’ll be joining at a critical juncture to shape the product, business, and go-to-market. With a validated concept, early adopters across three continents, existing domain expertise, and a highly resourced team by your side, this is a rare opportunity to found a company at the cutting edge of Faith-technology.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Co-Founder to build something big - that will transform lives globally and impact millions of people. As Co-Founder of Hailo, you’ll take this from a validated concept to a venture-scale business - leading vision, product, go-to-market, and fundraising. You’ll be in the driver’s seat from day one, shaping the future of hyper-personalised support for churchgoers. This role isn’t for everyone, but if you love building from a standing start, thrive in ambiguity, and believe in the power of technology for faith communities, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

You’ll be supported by our ThirdDay Venture's studio team and dedicated Hailo employees with product, sales and industry specialisms.

Our offer

  • Validation: A vetted concept, domain insight, and a head start in a massively growing but underserved market (24.9% CAGR)
  • Fundraising Support: We’ve laid the foundations to get you going - with angel investment already committed and a ready-made pitch deck, we’ve begun raising our Pre-Seed round
  • Founder Equity and Compensation: We believe in generosity and fairness. Post-raise you’ll receive a £40,000-50,000 starting salary, as well as Co-Founder level vested equity (amount tbd)
  • Expert Team: Hands-on support across product, growth, fundraising, AI/ML, design, legal, hiring, and more
  • MVP Build: Access to in-house and partner agency support to outline, execute and build an industry leading product
  • Accelerator: Opportunity to join our dedicated 12-month accelerator programme, where you’ll gain detailed operational support, mentoring and guidance post-launch
  • Strategic Network: Intros to top-tier investors and critical collaboration partners

This is your shot to build a world-changing company with a serious unfair advantage.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for the 1%. You Might Be a Fit If You:

  • Believe technology can advance God’s Kingdom and his people
  • Have a founder’s mindset: You’re ambitious, resilient, and have a real track record of taking things from 0 to 1
  • Are AI-native: You’re experienced and knowledgeable of AI, and you see how it can be used effectively in a sensitive market to transform user outcomes
  • Think strategically, act decisively and stay humble: You’re a big-picture thinker with a bias for action and ability to move fast with focus whilst being open to challenge and change
  • Are passionate about this space: You bring experience and knowledge at the intersection of technology and faith - or you’ve got a unique insight or edge that makes you a compelling founder in this domain
  • Thrive in the grey: You’re at your best in ambiguous environments where nothing is certain and everything is possible, with endless opportunity and requiring hard work and grit
  • Lead with EQ and IQ: You know how to bring the best out of yourself and others, and you’re ready to build an exceptional team around a shared kingdom mission

Responsibilities

As Co-Founder, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Setting and evolving the vision, mission, and roadmap for Hailo
  • Driving early traction and completing the MVP with the guidance and support of ThirdDay Ventures
  • Leading user research, customer development, and validation
  • Owning all things growth: strategy, tactics, and execution
  • Building and leading the founding team – including our already amazing recruits in product and sales
  • Fundraising from top investors across our three planned investment rounds - Pre-Seed, Seed and Series-A
  • Shaping the company values from the ground up, ensuring it’s rooted firmly in Kingdom culture
  • Doing whatever it takes to bring this company to life and achieve its Godly mission

Non-Negotiables

To thrive in this role, you must have:

  • B2B product experience - you’ve led and sold directly to businesses (in this case you’ll be selling to Churches and Ministries)
  • AI-first mindset - Your experience and understanding of AI will shape its integrity within our product suite
  • A passion for Faith-Tech - you understand the faith community, our ICPs and truly believe that technology can transform the way Churches support their congregations
  • Strong product and tech intuition - you don’t need to code, but you can confidently lead technical conversations and have a strong handle on product overview
  • Growth savvy - With early adopters already signed up across three continents, you know how to build on, execute and accelerate a GTM strategy and build traction
  • Strategic clarity with a bias for action - you can plan for the future and execute for now
  • Proven leadership skills and a desire to attract top talent - you embody the fruits of the spirit in your leadership philosophy and know how to get a team behind you
