With the opening of brand new, extraordinary clubs in inspiring locations across London, alongside the development of our digital offering, this is the time to come on board the Membership team at a company that genuinely strives to be the Best in Class. We’re looking for a Membership Support Specialist who will work between our Head office (in Canary Wharf) and the clubs.
Responsibilities
- Member retention, both pro-actively and re-actively.
- Retain members who may have expressed an interest in cancelling their membership by discussing what our club has to offer them based on their cancellation reasons.
- Contact members to recoup their failed monthly direct debits and respond to high volumes of emails.
- Administration tasks such as adding member credit, processing freeze/cancellations/amendments, housekeeping checks, and telephony.
- Use the database effectively, logging all member communication and activities.
- Manage difficult conversations and address negative feedback proactively to ensure a positive outcome.
Qualifications
- Strong and influential leadership skills.
- Experience in a Customer Service environment.
- Ability to provide exceptional service standards.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft packages (Windows, Excel, Outlook).
- A confident and clear communicator.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Well presented with good written and spoken English.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player.
- Financially proficient and able to carry out banking, set up direct debits, membership freezes, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high levels of energy and resilience.
- Passionate about sport, exercise, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with a hunger for further development.
