We are looking for an Events & Community Manager to be responsible for leading the events and community functions for an incredible local hospice, and the strategic aim of working with the wider organisation and local communities to deliver income growth within these areas of fundraising. This is a hybrid working Essex based role.
The Charity: A warm and welcoming hospice, dedicated to providing care for those who have been diagnosed with a serious illness. You would be joining a welcoming team at an ambitious and motivated organisation, known for promoting equality, diversity and inclusion offering flexibility, competitive salaries and an excellent working environment.
The Role:
- Oversee and grow the existing Hospice Events & Community Programme whilst looking for opportunities for growth and seeking new innovative ways to garner income.
- Be responsible for the management of income and expenditure budgets for your area of responsibility.
- Develop donor journeys for the event & community supporters, working with the wider directorate to ensure first class stewardship is delivered and communication is appropriate and effective.
- Manage and develop the Events and Challenges Lead, Events Lead and x2 Borough Leads ensuring they are on track with work plans and working across the team to deliver excellent results.
The Candidate:
- Experience of managing successful fundraising events or similar public-facing projects.
- Experience of leading, developing and motivating teams.
- Strong budget management and financial planning skills.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to inspire supporters, volunteers and colleagues.
