The Adult Sexual Exploitation Partnership (ASEP) brings together eight organisations from across Yorkshire and the North East, to provide trauma-informed support for women who have been targeted for abuse, including sexual exploitation. ASEP partners also work together to influence policy change, bringing together and amplifying the voices and experience of women who have been forgotten, left behind and judged.
The Sexual Exploitation BAME Case Worker will provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed support on a one-to-one basis, as well as brokering solutions to help women from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities (including Romanian, Polish, Hungarian, Pakistani and Indian) address immediate needs, identify and support through crisis, and support women through the process of giving evidence to trials. This role also includes community outreach across Kirklees and Calderdale. The work will drive and embed best practice in working with young women as they transition into adulthood.
In this role, you will be working as part of the WomenCentre team and be line managed within our team. You will also be expected to work alongside colleagues in similar roles in the other ASEP partnership organisations across the region to share learning, participate with the project’s evaluation and wider events. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the community, offering life-changing support to those most at risk of sexual exploitation.
This is an opportunity to be involved in a developing role that will influence work with women locally, regionally and nationally.
WomenCentre is an organisation that promotes safeguarding practice across all our service delivery and staff and volunteer recruitment.
