Our aims are to ensure that individuals do not suffer through a lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or though an inability to express their needs effectively. We aim equally to exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policies and services, both locally and nationally.

We have 2 vacancies for part-time positions for General Advisers. The General Adviser will play a key role in the delivery of a multi-channel general advice service at various outreach locations and in the Bureau.

The successful applicant will have excellent oral and written communication skills. A sound knowledge of welfare benefits will be an advantage; however, training can be provided to the right person via our inhouse training package. Experience of, and/or qualifications at, SCQF level 6 is desirable. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
