The Technical Business Analyst acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams in the delivery of core banking platforms and surrounding banking services. The role combines deep banking domain knowledge with strong technical analysis skills to ensure that functional requirements are translated into scalable, secure, and compliant technical solutions.
This role will support core banking transformation, new product launches, regulatory change, and integration with payments, digital channels, and downstream systems.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience in financial services technology
- Business Analysis Certification, such as:
- IIBA CBAP® or CCBA®
- Diploma in Business Analysis
- Agile Certifications such as:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
Core Skills and Knowledge
- Banking & Financial Services Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in financial services.
- Strong hands-on experience with core banking platforms (e.g., Temenos, Mambu, Thought Machine, Finacle, TCS BaNCS, Flexcube, or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of banking products and accounting principles.
- Experience supporting regulatory change and compliance-driven initiatives.
- Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- API-driven architectures
- Microservices and event-based integration
- Data models and relational databases
- Ability to read and interpret:
- API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Sequence diagrams
- Data schemas
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
- Delivery & Methodology
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Comfortable working in large-scale transformation or multi-year core banking programs.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
