We are looking for two Graduate Structural Engineers. Ideally the candidate would have one to two years UK experience of Structural design within residential and commercial buildings.
About the candidate we are seeking:
You must be self-motivated, driven by a challenge whilst continually developing new skills and sharing experience with the team.
Each engineer has a number of projects and clients to manage at any one time with a requirement to meet the needs and demands of our clients and business goals. Candidates must be able to demonstrate good fundamental knowledge and understanding within the application and principles of structural engineering design. Quality deliverables and client satisfaction are at the forefront of our everyday responsibilities as individuals to ensure conformance to our accredited processes and procedures as recognised within the industry. You will be expected to support our Principal engineers and Directors across the group.
Essential Experience required:
- One to two years’ experience within Structural design including steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry construction to Euro Code standard
- Proficient use of AutoCAD, Masterseries and TEDDS design software
- Producing detailed structural calculations and sketches
- Preparation of construction drawings and specifications
- Commercial awareness of costing, budgets and quotations
- Report writing
- Site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings
Desirable Experience:
- Understanding of STAAD.Pro, SCIA and Revit
- Project management and leadership skills
- Willing to work towards or nearing Chartered Status
